v1.0 Effective Oct 6, 2026

The BrokerBuilt Standards

Eight plain rules every BrokerBuilt Verified project agrees to. They're what the seal stands for: a real project, built by a real holder, run honestly.

  1. Verified holder

The builder's wallet holds the Broker or Intern named on the listing. We check ownership onchain at approval and may re-check at any time. If it's sold or transferred, the seal lapses until the new holder (or a different Broker or Intern) is verified.

  2. Real and working

The project exists, its website loads, and it does what the listing says. Placeholder pages, abandoned links and copy-paste templates don't qualify.

  3. Honest claims

No fake partnerships, invented users or revenue, or implied endorsements. Don't suggest that StonkBrokers, Clutch Markets, Robinhood or BrokerBuilt endorses you.

  4. No financial promises

No guaranteed returns, price predictions, or pressure to buy a token or NFT. Tokens and paid products describe risks plainly.

  5. Respect IP

Use only art, names and brands you own or are licensed to use. Owning a Broker or Intern doesn't grant rights to StonkBrokers logos or brand assets.

  6. Treat people fairly

Deliver what you sell, honor your stated refund or support terms, and respond to holder issues within 14 days.

  7. Keep it current

Tell us when your site, socials or ownership change, or when the project shuts down.

  8. Use the seal correctly

Display the seal only on the website named on your certificate, unaltered, and linked to your certificate. One seal per verified project.

How the Standards are enforced

Enforcement is handled by hand, not by an algorithm, and every step is recorded on the project's certificate.

  1. Report. Anyone can report a seal or project. Reports stay private.
  2. Review. If a report looks credible, the seal moves to Under review (still valid) and we contact the builder.
  3. Response. The builder has 14 days to fix the issue or explain.
  4. Decision. The seal returns to Verified, or becomes Suspended until it's fixed. Serious or repeated problems, like scams or impersonation, lead to Revoked and removal from the directory.
  5. Appeal. Builders can ask for a second look once, with new information.

Ownership is re-checked onchain from time to time. If the Broker or Intern is no longer in the builder's wallet, the seal becomes Lapsed until ownership is verified again. No penalty, just paperwork.

What the seal is not

BrokerBuilt Verified is not an endorsement, a quality guarantee, financial advice, or a license to use StonkBrokers intellectual property. BrokerBuilt is an independent community directory and isn't affiliated with StonkBrokers, Clutch Markets or Robinhood. Always do your own research before buying anything.

The Standards may be updated. Changes get a new version number and date here, and verified builders are told before they take effect.
